Bookmaker Ratings prediction one – USA to win – 1.71
USA to win
The reigning champions will be hungry to defend their Nations League title, while the US team are keen to claim their first VNL trophy. USA and Brazil have a long-standing rivalry. Both sides met in two Olympic finals (1984 & 2008) and other key games over the last years. In their previous meeting last month, the US team overcame the Brazilians in four sets.
We think the US team are slight favorites in this match. They are in better shape, and star setter Micah Christenson also joined the team. Meanwhile, the Brazilians will be without their top scorer Alan de Souza, which is big loss for them.

Renan Dal Zotto’s team will have a challenging path to successfully defend their Nations League title, starting in the quarterfinals with one of their fiercest rivals.
The South Americans ended the Group stage in 6th place with eight wins and four losses. The first week of the competition was held in Brasilia. However, Renan Dal Zotto’s men were able to win just two matches from four possible on home soil.
