Match Predict – Handicap (-8) for Djokovic

Djokovic is unlikely to be stopped on his way to his 22nd Grand Slam title. Novak is now showing an incredible level of tennis, not noticing anyone in his way. In his last two matches, the Serb has given up just five games to De Minaur, and seven to Rublev. We believe that Djokovic will deal with Paul on his way to the final pretty quickly as well.

Total Games Under 34

Djokovic has made good progress and is now winning with notable ease. He lost just seven games against Rublev in the quarter-finals, and previously gave De Minaur just five games for the game. We expect Novak’s next match to end quickly in three sets.

Preliminary review and pre-match prediction for Novak Djokovic vs Tommy Paul

Novak Djokovic:

Novak’s incredible streak at the Australian Open continues. The Serb has not lost in Melbourne since 2018.

On Wednesday, Djokovic, as expected, easily defeated Andrey Rublev (6-1, 6-2, 6-4).

Rublev freaked out and shouted, but also seemed to realise that he was no competition for Novak at this stage.

It was the same in the previous rounds. Australian Alex De Minaur took only five games.

Djokovic’s only problem so far at this tournament was a hip injury, but he seems to have coped with it. Unfortunately, Nole has no serious rivals on the court.

On his way to the semi-finals, Nole defeated Roberto Carballes Baena (6-3, 6-4, 6-0), Enzo Coaucaud (6-1, 6-7, 6-2, 6-0) and Grigor Dimitrov (7-6, 6-3, 6-4).

Tommy Paul:

Paul, meanwhile, reached the semi-finals of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time, making his debut in the top 20.

In Paul’s case, perhaps, we can talk about a certain amount of luck. Tommy has had strong opponents so far, but not one where he would be seen as the clear underdog.

In the quarter-finals, Tommy defeated Ben Shelton (7-6, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4). Ben still lacked experience, especially on those occasions when he had to come up with something on the receiving end.

Paul quietly defeated Jan-Lennard Struff (6-1, 7-6, 6-2), Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina (6-2, 2-6, 6-7, 6-3, 6-4), Jenson Brooksby (6-1, 6-4, 6-3) and Roberto Bautista Agut (6-2, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5).

Paul has won six of his last seven matches on the hard court.
