In the first match, Bianca lost to future finalist Shelby Rogers (4-6, 2-6,). The former world №4 had a weak game overall, taking a total of six games.
At Wimbledon, Andreescu lost in the second round to Elena Rybakina (4-6, 6-7), who eventually took the title.
Still, Bianca has had some good tournaments since her return to the tour. She reached the quarter-finals in Rome in May and reached the final in Bad Homburg in June.
