Ian Wright compares Leeds star to N’Golo Kante following his World Cup form
Leeds’ captain is one of the key figures of the USA national team which played a goalless draw against Gareth Southgate’s men on the second matchday of the World Cup in Qatar.
The 23-year-old was far and away one of the best players on the pitch: 100% tackles and 100% aerial duels won, 87% pass accuracy, 3 ground duels won & 2 clearances. With his mobility, intensity and pass volume, Adams was almost everywhere in the midfield against the Three Lions.
Speaking to Wrighty’s House Podcast quoted by MOT Leeds News, the pundit was wowed by the USA international’s performance admitting he gets a N’Golo Kante vibe from him.
“People are going to say ‘you’re comparing him to Kante’, I’m not. I haven’t seen somebody that good at what he’s doing for a long time in that position – since that Kante vibe. If there’s something over there, he’s over there snuffing it out. He’s like how Kante was. He’s like a magnet to the ball where the problems are going to come.
